Nathan's Font Stacks

June 26, 2008

Nathan Ford, our new(ish) designer/developer at Unit Interactive, has written a wonderful article on Web font use, entitled “Better Font Stacks.” In his article, Nathan tackles the issues of advisable font usage and CSS cascade in the context of the Web’s limited default font choices.

I don’t often write “posts” like this here on Design View, but Nathan’s article is worth pointing people toward, as I believe it’s worthy of much consideration and the topic worthy of much discussion. His article is the first in a 2-part series on Web fonts and typography. He’s also crafted a more comprehensive PDF document for reference and to support his ideas. Nice one, Nathan! Can’t wait for part 2.
