Very Cool Packaging: Nike Juice

Every once in a while I come across some packaging that just rocks. This is one of those times. A buddy of mine brought me the box packaging for the Nike Juice 312 golf balls he purchased this past weekend. This box made my day.

Every bit of copy on the packaging is a tongue–in–cheek bit of marketing hyperbole. First, I’m impressed by the creative direction taken here. Additionally, I’m impressed that a company, even one as progressive as Nike, would allow such an immersive, comprehensive, humorous experience on their product packaging.

This is how you do something well: you commit. Commitment is what this packaging communicates. Commitment like this is hard to find anywhere in business and this is just one reason that Nike is a dominant player – and why they’ll likely keep their position for quite some time.

Here are scans of the flattened box packaging. Read and enjoy.
